Michigan Trails and Recreation Alliance of Land and the Environment (MI-TRALE) is a collaborative organization composed of enthusiasts dedicated to outdoor recreation and trail preservation. The purpose of this application is to provide users with comprehensive access to the region’s outdoor resources.

The app covers the entire Upper Peninsula of Michigan, offering a user-friendly interface with an easily navigable map that highlights trails, points of interest, fuel stations, dining options, accommodations, camping sites, services, and photographic highlights. It features over 1,000 miles of State, Local, and National Forest ATV/UTV and multi-use routes and trails.

Included are 15 curated ATV/UTV and multi-use rides and loops, each detailing total mileage, notable sights, dining options, camping locations, and lodging opportunities. Water trail information for kayaking and canoeing is also provided, indicating water classes along with launch and take-out sites. For equestrians, the app highlights more than 25 miles of horse trails with designated trailheads for parking and camping.

Additionally, there are four distinct bike trail systems along with extensive multi-use routes shared with cyclists. The diversity of hiking trails throughout the wilderness of the Upper Peninsula encourages exploration for hikers of all levels.
